Brookvale Spirit Day: Dress like a Dr. Seuss character or crazy hat, hair, or socks!

Grab Your Hat and Read with the Cat! Celebrate NEA’s Read Across America Day

Those who are six, sixteen, sixty-four, and more have all kinds of great events in store for the National Education Association’s nineteenth annual observance of NEA’s Read Across America. NEA is calling America’s children, both young and old, to reward their learning by celebrating the joys of reading on Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Readers of all ages are encouraged to celebrate with this year’s book Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

For more information about how to generate excitement for reading among America’s children and their families and about best practices for motivating and teaching reading, visit www.nea.org/readacross.

Hi all,

This Friday, February 17th, Brookvale will be holding its first Farmers Market for the students to participate in.

Mrs. Hicks-Rodriguez is looking for 6 parent volunteers to assist during the farmers market, starting at 8:00 AM until around noonVolunteers will help setup, supervise the market, help students with their shopping, and assist with break down of the market. If you are interested, this would be a fun way to engage with your student and their classmates.

Please contact our principal directly at: chicks-rodriguez@fremont.k12.ca.us
