Brookvale PTA is very excited to announce that we will be restarting the popular Brookvale Choir, beginning November 9th, 2018. Karen Madsen will teach the Choir. She has a Masters Degree in Music and more than 15 years of experience.
We will be hosting two sessions:
Session One: Upper Grades (4, 5, and 6)
Dates: Fridays, November 9th, 16th, 30th, December 7th, 14th, 21st, January 11th, 25th, February 1st, and 8th
Total classes: 10
Location: Room 405, Brookvale Elementary School
Time: 3:10pm to 4:10pm
Session Two will be for Lower Grades (1, 2, & 3) and will start February 22nd, 2019. (At this time, we are unable to offer the choir to TK and K students, due to a time conflict. We are looking at alternatives and will communicate directly with the teachers.)
Registration for Session One opens at 7am on Sunday, November 4th. Register online at Brookvale PTA Choir Fall 2018. For any other questions, please email Choir.Brookvalepta@gmail.com.
We require one parent volunteer to help during practice, with check-in and check-out, set up chairs, hand out sheet music, etc. If you can help, please contact Karen at (510) 361-6430 for further details.
Wednesday, November 7th, at 8 am
Brookvale PTA is planning a fun-filled Indian style “flash mob” on Wednesday November 7th, at 8 am. We want to mark this very auspicious time in various Indian traditions and would like adults and children from the community to participate and join us in this celebration. Dress up in festive colorful cloths and dance to the music!
To participate, please join our committee ‘Diwali Cultural Celebration’ on Konstella.
