HAPPY DECEMBER! Just a few updates as we wrap up the last month of the year!

*PTA MEETING – TUESDAY, DECEMBER 10TH ON ZOOM – 6:30PM
Join us for the PTA Meeting on Zoom! We will discuss Winter Wonderland and upcoming events for 2025! Zoom link and details to come.

*WINTER WONDERLAND – FRIDAY, DECEMBER 13TH @ MUR – 5:30 – 7:00PM
Don’t miss out on Winter Wonderland 2024! We will have a Bake Sale & hot cocoa, arts & crafts station, pictures with Santa, outdoor snowball fight & games, live Holiday music AND raffle baskets to win! Entry is free, but funds raised from the bake sale and raffle baskets will support the PTA! BRING CASH!!! :)If you are interested in donating baked goods to sell at the Bake sale (cookies, cupcakes or muffins), please sign up on the previous Konstella post!:)We will also need parent volunteers to help man the Bake Sale & Hot Cocoa table so please let us know if you are interested!

*BIKE MOBILE – MONDAY, DECEMBER 16TH – 2:45 – 5:15PM
The Bike Mobile will be at Brookvale for free bike repairs on a first come, first serve basis so save the date!

*WINTER BREAK
Winter Break begins on Monday, December 23, 2024 and ends Friday, January 3, 2025. School resumes on Monday, January 6, 2025! Don’t forget that BRAVE Spirit Week begins tomorrow and to wear PURPLE! Thank you for being a part of this amazing community! Have a great week!

Winter Wonderland 2024 – Friday, 12/13
SAVE THE DATE!

Brookvale PTA will be hosting a Winter Wonderland event on Friday, December 13th from 5:30PM – 7:00PM at school and we look forward to seeing you all!

This free event will include a variety of fun things and here’s just a few:*Bake Sale including cookies, muffins, cupcakes and hot cocoa *Picture with Santa! *Arts & Crafts station *Snowball fight!* Winter decorations & musicWe are still finalizing some details so please be on the look out for more information in the coming weeks!

If you love baking and are interested in participating in the Bake Sale, please sign up and let us know what you will be donating!:) To keep it simple, we are keeping the selections to cupcakes, cookies and muffins. We ask that a list of ingredients be printed out and included with the goodies. 2-3  dozen of your goodies would be fantastic!

In addition to all of the fun activities, we will also have the raffle contest competition amongst the classes! Last year’s was so much fun, we have to do it again this year:) For classes that wish to participate, families will organize a gift basket to raffle and the gift baskets that receive the most raffle tickets the night of Winter Wonderland will win a prize for the class! More details will be sent out, but just something to keep in mind!We would love to have an outdoor section decorated with holiday inflatables, so if you have any that we could borrow for that evening, please let us know! We would also love some parent volunteers to help us set up some lights and inflatables:)

Bronco Gallop 2024 – Friday, 11/8

The Walkathon event will take place on Friday, November 8th and students will be doing their laps with their teachers and fellow students and will strive to achieve (or exceed) the $10,000 goal! Please encourage your employers to do a matching donation to Brookvale Elementary School :).

Brookvale is again partnering with 99Pledges (https://99pledges.com) to manage this event and collect funds via their secure online platform. This way you will be able to reach out to friends and family via email and social media! You should have received an email from 99Pledges with a link to your student’s online pledge page. This link will remain active until November 15th. If you did not receive this email, simply search and find your child’s pledge page here: https://app.99pledges.com/fund/broncogall1

All funds raised for this event will go towards student activities to enrich curriculum, supplemental curriculum and teacher supplies for the class! We are confident that our families will achieve the current goal of $10,000!

Trunk or Treat! – Friday, 10/25

Trunk or Treat! – Friday, 10/25
We are officially in October so that means Trunk or Treat is right around the corner!;) This yearly FREE event for our Brookvale families and community is one that we look forward to:) Trunk or Treat will be held on Friday, October 25th from 5:30 – 7:00PM in the school parking lot. If you would like to decorate your vehicle and hand out candy/treats to the kids, please sign up! This year, we will have a contest and everyone will have a chance to vote for their favorite trunk! The top 3 trunks that receive the most votes will win a prize:) We would love to have between 20-25 decorated vehicles so come join the fun! PTA will supply each vehicle with candy, but please make sure to have a bag or 2 of treats on hand as well:)We will also be looking for candy and treats (pencils, erasers, fun trinkets, etc) donations! We all know how fast these kids trick or treat so we would love to make sure we have plenty of treats on hand:) A bin will be placed in the front office starting next week so please feel free to stop by to feed the bin with your donations! If there are families that are able to reach out to grocery stores or any place willing to donate candy to us, we would GREATLY appreciate the help.We look forward to seeing you there!
