The Bronco Gallop is Brookvale Elementary PTA’s annual fundraiser. The students walk to music in the school yard, for 15-20 minutes, along with their classmates. The walk-a-thon promotes health awareness and school spirit among students, and benefits the entire school community.

Donation Guidelines

Our total donation goal for this year is $35,000. Suggested contribution is $100 per child, or $250.00 for a family of three or more students enrolled at Brookvale. This is a suggested amount only, please donate what you consider to be a fair amount. Brookvale PTA is 501(c)(3) non-profit (#94-2931862). All donations to the Brookvale PTA are 100% tax-deductible.

You can use this form to donate online via credit card or Paypal, or you may select the offline option and bring cash or check in person to the Bronco desks in front of the office during the week of October 13th to 19th at 8am-8.30am and 2.30pm-3.00 pm. (Checks should be made payable to Brookvale Elementary PTA.)

Where does the money go?

51% – Classroom grants
15% – Prep grants: Computers, Science, P.E., and Library
13% – PTA Programs: Teacher Appreciation Week, National Reflections Art Program, Scholarships, Campus Beautification, general school support
11% – School-wide Assemblies (STEM, Art, Cultural Enrichment)
10% – PTA dues, operational expenses, and insurance

Corporate Matching

Inquire with your HR department if your company matches donation contributions you make
to non-profits. This doubles the amount you can raise, and constitutes a significant part of our fundraising. Brookvale Elementary PTA is registered non-profit (#94-2931862) per IRS Code Section 501(c)(3). All donations to the Brookvale PTA are 100% tax-deductible.

Dear members of the Brookvale Community,

Please consider attending the Brookvale PTA Meeting on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at the Brookvale MPR. You will be able to meet Brookvale Elementary School’s counselor, Ms. Tanaka, and also have the opportunity to meet some of the School Board candidates for this upcoming election. School Board candidates attending:

This is a moderated forum and your questions will be curated by the organizing committee and addressed accordingly. Please send your questions in an email to parlimentarian@brookvalepta.com by Sunday at 5pm. Questions can be handed in at the door before the forum starts, as well. A typical forum allows for about 5 questions with each candidate limited to a 90 second response.

Transforming Thornton

  • Incoming 6th graders in year 2021/22
  • Student population forecasted to increase from 1,350 to 1,910 by the Long Range Facilities Plan and updated to peak at 2,174 (current long term population trend)
  • 2017 implementation plan budget was based on LRFP enrollment of 1,910
  • Modernize a 55-year-old campus
  • Transform campus and create 21st- century learning environment

The First Brookvale PTA Family Potluck Picnic is just around the corner!

Where: Los Cerritos Community Park (3377 Alder Ave).
When: Saturday, Sept 22, 11:00 AM to 2:00PM

Let’s come together and enjoy some fun in the sun! Meet other Brookvale families and learn more about what the Brookvale community is all about!

Please bring some food of your choice ,enough to share with 6 to 8 people:

If your last name begins with K-O, please bring a dessert or beverages

PTA will provide water, cutlery and plates. We will be setting up on the tables near the gazebo by the play structure.
