Holiday Wish Trees

Many teachers have created Wishing Trees for the classrooms this year, thank you to all the parents and students for participating!

Similar to the classroom wish trees, there is a Holiday Wish Tree in the office for the prep teachers (Science, Library, Computer etc) and other staff including the school Nurse. Here some of the things requested:

Pencils, erasers, Black expo markers
Pink colored paper
Tissues, band-aids, stickers

There are a few more on the tree. Please drop by the office and pick up a “wish” if you are able to donate. Thank you!

Bronco Gallop Update

In the PTA newsletter and the Bronco Gallop “Thank you” booklet that will be in this week’s Thursday folder we have an update on the funds collected for Bronco Gallop. Thank you all for donating so generously. We would like to acknowledge some of the local businesses (Fremont based) that donated this year. Thank you—you help us make a big difference in our school!

Mrs. Archana Sudame who runs Academic Crew in Fremont donated a large amount—the single most donation by an individual or business this year.
Trader Joe’s donate an assortment of non-perishable edibles for the Bronco Gallop assembly and also for the teachers

The matching donations from companies are also slowing coming in. GAP, Google, Imation, VMWare are just a few of the companies who have matched their employees donation to Brookvale. It is still not too late to ask your company to match your donation if there is such a program. Remember the PTA is a nonprofit organization and your donations are tax-deductible.

Sibling Enrollment Packets

Just a reminder that if you will be registering a sibling at Brookvale for the 2014-15 school year, enrollment packets will be available at the school office from January 7th through January 14th only. Mark your calendars!

PTA Meeting, December 10th

Brookvale PTA is very lucky to have a parent who is a certified ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter, and who has volunteered to attend PTA meetings to interpret upon request. 2014-2015 Enrollment

The Fremont Unified School District’s (FUSD) Student Support Services Department will be hosting the 2014-2015 enrollment informational meetings during the month of December for parents of new elementary students to the district. If you have a new student to enroll in one of FUSD’s schools, please plan to attend one of the following parent informational meetings:

December 2, 2013 at American High – Multi Purpose Room
December 4, 2013 at Irvington High – Cafeteria
December 9, 2013 at Kennedy High – Cafeteria
December 10,2013 at Washington High – Cafeteria
December 12,2013 at Mission High – Room C120

Each meeting will be held from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. If you have any questions regarding the enrollment informational meetings, please contact the Student Support Services Department at (510) 657-2350 ext. 12202, 12204 or 12665.
