Brookvale’s Annual Community Food Drive

Brookvale’s Annual Community Food Drive

UPDATE: new deadline to bring in donations is Wednesday, December 7th.

Donations for the Alameda County Community Food Bank

Tuesday, November 15 to Friday, December 2

The Alameda County Community Food Bank serves 1 in 5 county residents. Their goal is to provide 11 million meals this holiday season. Brookvale Student Council has decided that to create a school-wide competition in order to encourage more donations to our annual food drive and help this great cause. Each class is asked to track and record the number of donations made to their classroom. On the last day of the drive, the class who has brought in the most donations between TK-3 and 4-6 will win playground balls from PTA. These classes will also be given a trophy to display in their class for the month of December to recognize the school and community spirit these classes displayed.

Please ensure all donations are taken directly to your class and counted before taking them to the donation barrels in the office. All donations will be appreciated, but some are more needed than others.

Please do not donate anything in glass jars, for safety reasons.

The ACCFB has expressed that they are in most need of:

  • Canned meat (tuna and chicken)
  • Natural Peanut Butter
  • Nuts and Beans
  • Brown Rice
  • Quinoa
  • Canned Soup (low sodium)
  • Whole Grain Cereal
  • Oatmeal

Thank you!
