Founders Day
Founders Day activities promote an understanding of the shared vision and legacy of National PTA founders – Alice Birney, Phoebe Hearst and Selena Butler. Founders Day provides an opportunity to recognize our hard-working volunteers for their outstanding service to the school, to say thank you to these special individuals by presenting Honorary Service Awards to acknowledge their time, effort and dedication as volunteers.
Do you know of someone who has gone above and beyond the call of duty for our Brookvale students, school or community? It may be a parent, PTA member, teacher, support staff, or a community member. Founders Day is a perfect time to renew the dedication to the Purposes of the PTA that was defined by PTA’s Founders more than a century ago. Each year in February/March PTA honors the three founders as well as past and present PTA leaders. It is also an appropriate time to show appreciation to those in our own PTA and community who have been dedicated advocates for children. Brookvale PTA is seeking your assistance in identifying and nominating those dedicated individuals for our Founders Day Program.
