As those of you on the Yahoo email group know, there has been a lot of interest in increasing the number of after school activities offered at Brookvale this year. Discussions have brought up ideas like Debate, Lego Robotics, Math Olympiad, and others.
Mrs. Hicks-Rodriguez has said that all requests should come directly to her, not through the PTA. Because these activities are using school facilities, they will require insurance, by district policy. Any parents who have found a group or activity that has insurance ($1 million policy) can apply directly to Mrs. Hicks-Rodriguez. She will let you know what rooms and times are available at the school. Mrs. Hicks-Rodriguez can provide the parents with more details if required. Her email is chicks-rodriguez@fremont.k12.ca.us.
