October 22–28, 2012 is Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country and serves as a vehicle for communities and individuals to take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children through a commitment to drug prevention, education, and to living drug free lives with the ultimate goal being the creation of drug free America.
The Student Council has organized theme days, to help raise awareness:
- Monday – sports day (wear something sports related)
- Tuesday – eat your fruits and veggies (in your lunch or snack)
- Wednesday – wear red (represents a drug-free color)
- Thursday – music at recess (exercise is healthy!)
- Friday – hat day (wear your favorite hat to school)
